The plate-work shop took some steel left behind by the blanking process, on Feb. 24 and recycled it back to the electrical furnace to melt it down, in a move that saves energy and cuts costs for the company.
Staff at the plate-work shop did preparatory work before the blanking process to enable them to collect the recyclable steel by categorizing the blanking in different sizes and materials, to minimize the amount of odd bits of blanking.
The photo shows staff members in the plate-work shop moving the steel left by blanking.
